I wanted to take this opportunity to extend to all my followers this blog. It’s a diary blog, more or less, of a girl who was in a long distance relationship and after almost two years, closed the gap when her boyfriend gave up his life and relationship with his father/step mother, any flew halfway around the world to be with her once again. Each entry describes her struggle, and then once he comes home, describes how much everything was so worth it. I know I don’t post here anymore as much as I should, because alas, this girl is me. I’ve been asked to share my story by many of you, and while I could give you the run down, what’s better than reading how everything went down, when it went down? So if you’re looking for a little hope or a little strength, I deeply hope this will help you in some way, and if not, I’m always here for a lending hand, ear and heart.

I just got into a long distance relationship and straight away i seemed to had ruined it? I love him so so much but we had a little misunderstanding, he thought we had got together yesterday so when i asked if he would let me be his girlfriend he clarified he asked me yesterday but today my ex had kissed me and its all a big misunderstanding :( since telling him he just said he had to go...i don't want to loose out on something beautiful. Any advice? right now im just giving him some space

Hi there! What I don’t understand is why you’re kissing your ex if you really love this guy. Unless HE kissed YOU and it was very quick and you pulled away, then unfortunately you are a little at fault. If you didn’t pull away, maybe you should rethink your feelings for him and the ex carefully, especially before getting into a long distance relationship. Your boyfriend(or not) will be very skeptical of dating you now that he knows there’s an ex boyfriend around you that likes to kiss you, so if you’re absolutely sure you want to be with him, you need to be completely honest and tell him the truth about it all. That’s the best you can do. Just lay it all out there, be vulnerable, and make sure he knows there’s no more secrets and surprises. He’s going to want to know for sure that you have no feelings for your ex, and you probably shouldn’t hang out with the ex anymore either if you feel any sort of temptation or obligation from him. To succeed in a long distance relationship, you need to trust each other. You can give him space, but there’s already enough space between you as it is. I’m sure something has already happened, as I’m answering a few days late and I apologize for that, but get ahold of him and take charge. Apologize, tell him you love him and the kiss meant nothing(if it did). But make sure you tell him everything and assure him it won’t happen again, and then you make sure of that!
